What inspired Murphy and Me?
Murphy and Me was inspired by Murphy, a black Labrador cross who was rescued after being abandoned and injured. His story of resilience and love sparked a lifelong passion for animal welfare, behaviour, and care. Our mission is to help other pets live happy, balanced lives through ethical products, expert advice, and compassionate services.
Who runs Murphy and Me?
Murphy and Me is run by a qualified veterinary nurse who trained at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London and has worked in leading veterinary hospitals in Ireland, the UK, and Australia. She is deeply passionate about pet health, nutrition, and behaviour.
What is the Puppy School?
The Puppy School is a fun and educational program designed to help puppies and their owners build a strong foundation in training, confidence, and socialisation. We use positive, reward-based techniques that are proven to work.
What age should my puppy be to join?
Puppies can start from around 8–18 weeks old once they have received their initial vaccinations. Early socialisation is key, so it’s best to start as soon as possible.
What will my puppy learn?
Your puppy will learn essential skills such as recall, basic commands, walking on a lead, house training, and good manners around other dogs and people.
Do I need to bring anything to class?
Please bring your puppy’s vaccination record, a lead (not a retractable one), some high-value treats, and a favourite toy. We’ll provide everything else you need.
